I will discuss effective field theories (EFTs) beyond the Standard Model (SM) with linearly and non-linearly realized electroweak symmetry. One difference between these two is the UV behavior of 2 to n scattering amplitudes. In the non-linear case, the unitarity constraints on 2 to n amplitudes force the EFT cut-off scale to be parametrically close to 3 TeV, even for tiny deformations from the SM couplings. The physical interpretation of this fact will be provided.
