Joint Theory Seminar: Adam Falkowski (Paris-Saclay)
mail: adam.falkowski@th.u-psud.fr
Title: Which FT?
Host: Terning
Room: 432
Abstract: I will discuss effective field theories (FTs) beyond the Standard
Model (SM) with linearly and non-linearly realized electroweak
symmetry. One difference between these two is the UV behavior of 2
to n scattering amplitudes. In the non-linear case, the unitarity
constraints on 2 to n amplitudes force the FT cut-off scale to be
parametrically close to 3TeV, even for tiny
deformations from the SM couplings. The physical interpretation of
this fact will be provided.
