Title: The Heart of Darkness: Neutralino Dark Matter, the Zeptobarn Scale, and Implications for Supersymmetric Models
Host: Hsin-Chia Cheng
Room: 432
Abstract: The neutralino is perhaps the most popular dark matter candidate, due primarily to its connection to a supersymmetric framework and viability at direct detection experiments. However, recent results both at colliders and direct detection experiments have placed significant pressure on neutralino dark matter scenarios. I will
discuss the behavior of neutralino dark matter in both the CMSSM framework and more general low-energy models, and argue that the neutralino dark matter scenario is still very much alive. I will also briefly discuss recent low-mass dark matter results in the context of isospin-violating dark matter.
