Abstract: The realization that metastable supersymmetry breaking is a generic phenomenon has stimulated new ways of looking at questions of dynamical supersymmetry breaking and model building.
One potentially important approach invokes gaugino condensation. Building compelling models requires a generalization with order parameters of dimension one. This talk introduces such theories, and applies them to questions in gauge mediation.
