| Description | Speaker: Bob Svoboda Title: Solar Neutrino Problem Host: Svoboda Room: Roessler 66 Abstract: Bob will review of the events leading up to the seminal 1998 paper on neutrino oscilations from Super-Kamiokande for which Takaaki Kajita was awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics (he and his wife Juilien are both on the paper!). He will also cover the work done by Art McDonald and others in solving the "Solar Neutrino Problem". Neutrino cookies will be available (in mixed flavors) after the talk. |
