| Description | Joint Theory Seminar Speaker: Claudia Frugiuele Title: Fermion hierarchy from sfermion anarchy Host: Ennio Salvioni Room: 432 Abstract: The lack of new physics signals at the LHC could lead us to look beyond the hierarchy problem and to consider other problems facing the standard model within frameworks in which the weak scale is tuned to some extent. In my talk I will discuss a high scale (PeV or above) supersymmetric model where the flavor structure of the first and second generation fermion masses and mixings is radiatively generated via sfermion loops with an anarchical flavor structure, which motivates the choice of the high scale. I will discuss in detail how the correct hierarchies are achieved and I will discuss possible future signals of this framework. |
