Description | Speaker: Jeremy Mardon Title: Signs of outlandish dark matter behaviour near the first stars Host: Markus Luty Room: 432 Abstract: For purely gravitational reasons, it is thought that dark matter might have reached amazingly large densities in the vicinities of the first generation of stars (Population III). I will discuss some possible signatures of this unusual behaviour, and ask the question: "Might this have anything to do with the recent excess events seen in IceCube?" |
