Description | HE Seminar Speaker: Christophe Englert Title: BSM searches using weak boson pair production Host: John Terning Room: 416 Abstract: At the upcoming generation of colliders weak boson production in association with hard jets is going to provide insight into the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking. Modifications of electroweak couplings and resonances that serve to unitarize longitudinal gauge boson scattering can be observed in these channels. In addition, recent progress in jet physics has motivated until now discarded semi-hadronic decay channels to investigate various properties of newly discovered resonances. I report on recent work in these directions. |
