Santa Fe 2002 Summer Workshop

``Extra Dimensions and Beyond''

August 4 - August 10, 2002

Introduction

The particle theory group (T-8) at the Los Alamos National Laboratory will host its annual workshop this year at the Radisson Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The topic of this summer's week long workshop will be physics beyond the standard model, including but not limited to physics in extra dimensions. The conference has been scheduled such that participants could also attend either the workshop on advances in field theory and particle physics, the strings workshop, or the string cosmology workhop at the Aspen Center for Physics.

We plan to have two or three talks daily, with plenty of time for informal discussion and collaboration. To encourage this informality, attendance will be limited to 30 participants.

Housing

Accommodations for up to seven nights in single rooms at the Radisson Hotel is included with the registration fee. If you intend to bring a guest you may stay in a double room for an additional $10/night. Additional nights will be available at the special rate of $89/single, $99/double (plus any applicable taxes). Further details on accommodations may be found here.

The registration fee, which includes up to seven nights accommodations, breakfasts and lunches Monday-Friday, snacks and extras, will be $300.

Registration

We ask that participants plan to attend for the entire week of the workshop. The deadline for registration has been extended to April 12, 2002. Full payment for registration must be received by April 25, 2002. Information on how to pay for registration is available at the bottom of the registration page. We will be unable to provide travel expenses or salaries for the time spent at the workshop.

This webpage will be updated with arrival and talk information in the coming weeks. If you would like to give a talk, you may indicate this when you register, or email workshop@dante.lanl.gov.
